In 1987, Thomas H. Probst founded Procorp Inc. in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, to help industrial clients solve their wastewater treatment needs. Not too long after its inception, the organization moved to Milwaukee and became a nationally recognized expert for treatment of high-strength biological waste streams, typically experienced in dairy and food processing operations.
Over the years, Procorp Inc. has introduced numerous innovative concepts for aerobic and anaerobic biological wastewater treatment, as well as physical/chemical processes such as dissolved air flotation and phosphorus removal via a fluidized bed reactor.
In February of 2007, Procorp Inc. and its subsidiary, Sustainable Environmental Solutions LLC, were acquired by privately owned, Ohio-based Thieman Enterprises LLC, and restructured into Procorp Enterprises LLC. The subsequent energy and resources brought to the organization, most notably in the form of R&D and an increase of engineering resources, has transformed the company into a technology-driven innovator.
Expanded application capabilities now encompass landfills, bio-fuel plants, bio-energy recovery, and improving water resource management through technologies such as salt-free water softening, TDS reduction and concentrate (brine) recovery. Procorp’s long-term application experience coupled with an infusion of research and technology, and the strong commitment to the environment, has created the ideal platform for a growing portfolio of Green Technologies for water and wastewater treatment.
